SYSTEMATIC LOGGING FOR SPECIALLY DESIGNED INSTRUCTION

Ensuring students receive Specially Designed Instruction minutes and make forward progress on annual IEP goals at Mt Healthy City Schools.

District story

Mt Healthy City Schools purchased the Brolly program in the Winter of 2022 in order to have a systematic way of logging Specially Designed Instruction. During the trial, Brolly worked hand in hand with us to ensure a great experience for our team of Intervention Specialists. The extra bonus of Brolly connecting to our Special Education Document Platform to pull the goals for each student in our district has truly been a game-changer. In real time, we are able to see how students are progressing toward their goals and print easy to understand reports to ensure students are receiving all of their Specially Designed Instruction minutes as stated in their IEP.

Pullman numbers graphic. 25 teacher users, 365 students served, 10755 logs submitted.

It is a huge relief knowing that this critically important documentation is kept in a safe location for students from year to year.

One of the biggest reasons to choose Brolly is their ability to sync with IEP systems and their outstanding HelpDesk team. Having the data pulled directly from our IEP system makes the day to day work that much easier. The turnaround time is extremely short and they are guaranteed to find the answer!

Staff Testimonials

I appreciate using Brolly as an accountable method for collecting data for specially designed instruction. Brolly has been highly impactful for organizing my IEP data collection for the following reasons:

  • The program is user friendly and makes ongoing updates to update its efficiency.
  • The program syncs with each student’s IEP goals and makes updates accordingly.
  • I am able to have an organized method for gathering specially designed instructional time with date/time accountability.
  • I am able to create groups for my specially designed instructional groups that are user friendly.
  • I am able  to track students’ absenteeism.
  • I am able to construct data collection visual charts.
  • I am able to upload photos and sync to progress reporting for progress monitoring.

I am grateful for the use of Brolly. This has improved my practice as an Intervention Specialist by updating the technology for an up-to- date way for accountable data collection. This is an improvement from the previously handwritten logs.”

Brolly has taken the guesswork out of tracking service minutes! My favorite part about using Brolly is the ease and quickness of tracking service minutes through the use of the log templates. The templates allow me to set up groups of students, services they receive, and the specific time of the day they receive them. Once set up, it takes almost no time to log the service minutes that I have provided to my students.  Brolly has been a great tool for tracking service minutes!

Brolly has been an important tool in helping me to log specially designed service minutes!  Once the log templates are created I am able to quickly log the time I spend working with students. In the general notes section I can add a note about the activity that took place during the time.  The system makes it quick for me to double check the times that I have logged to ensure I have met the required service time for my students.
